Fit for Habitation

Solution

Offer your landlords a professional Fit for Habitation solution

The Fit for Habitation inspection covers the seven minimum standards required for rental properties within NSW.

The introduction of minimum housing standards has been seen as a positive initiative by the rental sector. However, as property managers, to be expected to assess a property for structural soundness and determine whether it is fit for habitation without possessing the skills and expertise to do so is unfair and potentially dangerous.

PropertySafe’s new minimum standard and compliance reports are the simple solution.

  • Our inspectors are experienced
  • The professional report will check each standard against the property and provide information on what is required to rectify any issues uncovered and;
  • Any high risk, life threatening observations are also included.

Minimise risk to your agency and maximise customer service to your landlords and tenants, book through PropertySafe.

What is included in the report?

How it works

All correspondence sent to promote the PropertySafe Fit for Habitation Reports is sent via Maintenance Manager. The emails are written in your own words and addressed from you. As a professional agent you are simply recommending your landlords invest in a report to help meet legislation requirements.

When complete, the report goes directly to the landlord. Identified issues are displayed as an action in Maintenance Manager so the property manager can action asap.

That’s it. Educate, recommend, demonstrate best practice and reduce your business risk immediately.

Offer your landlords a solution to the legislated minimum standards and reduce agency risk.
