The COVID-19 pandemic has created unprecedented challenges and confusion for everyone, and property management has been no exception. Now that the roadmap to freedom has been revealed by Scott Morrison and some state premiers, what happens now when tradies need access to a property for repairs and maintenance?
Now that the roadmap to freedoms have been released for VIC and NSW and rules around vaccinations are clearer, the need to check the vaccination status of any trade professional may be something your agency would want to consider, before allowing them into a tenant’s home for an urgent repair or to perform necessary maintenance. Likewise, trade suppliers may offer their vaccination status with you voluntarily.
Either way, Maintenance Manager has two great features to help you manage the ‘learning to live with COVID’ approach.
The trade supplier agreements feature allows you to utilise an existing template, modify or upload existing agreements that regulate the terms of an ongoing trade relationship between a supplier and agency. Once prepared the trade will be asked to review and accept.
In addition to the agreement, the new trade background check feature gives trades the ability to share their COVID-19 vaccination status with your agency. In fact, any document can be uploaded by a tradie through their portal and securely stored with complete privacy, only made visible to super users. These could be:
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Police Checks
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Safe Work Practices documentation
- Any other documents required as a background check for a particular job or by an agency.
